FULLERENE SILVER ANNIVERSARY SYMPOSIUM - October 4-10, 2010 CRETE, GREECE

NEW “CARBON NANOSTRUCTURES SESSION” INCLUDED

Due to high demand a session dedicated to carbon nanostructures, such as carbon nanotubes, carbon nanohorns and graphene, will be included. Participants are encouraged to present their work focused on these research areas, as well.

An extension on the abstract deadline until MAY 31st , 2010 is given.

Dear Colleagues,

Celebrating the 25th anniversary since the discovery of Fullerenes we are very pleased to invite you to the Fullerene Silver Anniversary Symposium - FSAS 2010, organized by the Carbon-Nanostructures-Laboratory (CNSLab) located at the Theoretical and Physical Chemistry Institute, National Hellenic Research Foundation. The conference will be held in Hersonissos, in Heraklion, Crete, Greece and hosted in Atlantica Sensatori Resort  (4 - 10 October 2010).

After the success of the Cnano 09 conference held last October in Santorini, the FSAS-2010, is dedicated to the 25 years since the discovery of Fullerenes, and will be emphasizing on the following themes:

•    Functionalization and Properties of Novel Nanocarbons - Fullerenes, Carbon Nanotubes and Related Materials
•    Endohedral Fullerenes
•    Heterofullerenes
•    Fullerides
•    Hybrid Materials of Novel Nanocarbons - Fullerenes, Carbon Nanotubes and Related Materials
•    Applications of Novel Nanocarbons - Fullerenes, Carbon Nanotubes and Related Materials
•    Theory, Calculations and Modeling of Novel Nanocarbons - Fullerenes, Carbon Nanotubes and Related Materials

You are encouraged to submit your abstracts until the extention expires: May 31st, 2010. All details concerning the abstract submission template and other information can be found here.

All participants will enjoy an all-inclusive stay at the  5-star Atlantica Sensatori Resort where the conference will take place.
