NanoTP: Scientific Meeting 2011

The annual COST Project MP0901 "NanoTP" Scientific Meeting will be held this year at the ICTP (International Centre for Theoretical Physics), in Trieste, Italy, from 9-11th November 2011.

The meeting will be an opportunity for all NanoTP members to meet, discuss their latest science, and expand on the collaborations within the network. The 2010 meeting held at Bessy II in Berlin by Dr Peter Guttman was extremely successful, and we intend to build upon the same format, with a selection of invited "state-of-the-art" talks, lots of time devoted to discussion around the poster sessions.

9/11 - Dedicated to  synchrotron users and microscopysts. (The meeting will begin at 15:30 and will follow 'the synchrotron life-style' )

10/11 - New collaborations in NanoTP (Starting: 8:30)

11/11 - New materials and tools (Starting: 8:30)

Alongside the main NanoTP Scientific, ELETTRA will be hosting the NanoTP Management Committee meeting (10/11), where we will be performing a mid-term review of the project and planning for the future. Due to organisational reasons, the ICTP need to know attendance numbers for mid-September (with the arrival and departure days) and so it is essential that NanoTP members register and organize their trip early for this meeting.

Travel and accommodation reimbursement will be available under the usual NanoTP rules. The local host will be responsable for the acceptance of the Scientific abstract.
