It is a great pleasure to welcome you to this conference organized by the Polish Carbon Society in collaboration with the European Carbon Association. The event will be held in Krakow in June 17-22, 2012. The conference aims in bringing together the scientists, engineers, technologists and intends to provide a forum for discussion on all scientific and technological aspects of Carbon Science and Technology, including: . Natural carbon . Graphene, nanocarbons, engineered carbons . Carbons manufactured from various precursors . Carbon for energy, biology, health and environment . Carbon-based composites and nanocomposites . Porous carbon - manufacturing and application . Electronic, opto-electronic properties and applications . Nuclear, solar and thermal properties and applications . New methods and technologies of carbon materials . Industrial news In keeping with the style of previously organized The Annual World Conferences on Carbon, there will be an emphasis on plenary and keynote lectures given by recognized invited speakers, combined with oral presentations and poster sessions. The call for papers is open with December 31, 2011 deadline for abstracts. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed on the basis of scientific merit, novelty and practical application by our Advisory Committee.
