Brief CV
Professor Vitor Torres has worked in modelling of point defects in semiconductors since 1990, when he got his PhD at King's College London. Since then he has studied the physical properties of defects in silicon, diamond and germanium and its alloys, as well in II-V and II-VI semiconductors, including nitrides, using ab-initio techniques. His work has been presented in international conferences and more than 60 papers have been published in international journals.
