Mostly theory--atomistic computer simulations, electronic structure calculations, density-functional theory, molecular dynamics, simulations of effects of ion and electron irradiation on nanostructured and bulk materials, defects in carbon nanotubes, graphene.
Also heavily involved in ion-irradiation experiments.
Previous experience:
High-temperature superconductivity, electronic transport in nanostructures, quantum cascade lasers.
