Brief CV
Received my PhD in 2003 in organic chemistry working on the synthesis of 1-aroyl- and 1-aroylmethylenepyrroles as potential intermediates of the pyrrolobenzodiazepine and pyrrolobenzodiazocin group of antitumor antibiotics.
Current research interests lie on the chemical functionalization of carbon nanotubes, nanohorns and graphene sheets, the characterization of the new hybrid materials with complementary spectroscopic (UV-Vis-NIR, IR, Raman), thermal (TGA) and microscopic (TEM) techniques and their potential nanotechnological applications from biology to nanoelectronics.
