Brief CV
Dr. Elena Bichoutskaia obtained her M.Sc. in Physics in 1993, and Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics in 2000 from St.Petersburg State University, Russia. In 1997, she spent one year as a postgraduate student at the Queen's University of Belfast, as a recipient of a Russian President Research Scholarship. In 2000, she returned to the Queen's University of Belfast as a Royal Society NATO postdoctoral research fellow. There followed postdoctoral research in Chemistry at the Universities of Nottingham, Sussex and Cambridge. In 2007, she was awarded a Royal Society UK Relocation Fellowship and moved back to Nottingham. In 2007, she was a Visiting Academic Research Fellow at the Australian National University. In 2008, Dr. Bichoutskaia was awarded an EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellowship for the period 2008-2013, and in 2011, she was appointed a Lecturer in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry at Nottingham.
